Preparing for your tattoo
Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment. It helps your skin and healing process.
Avoid Alcohol & Drugs
Alcohol thins the blood, which can cause excessive bleeding. Avoid for at least24 hoursbefore your session.
- Dress Comfortably
Wear clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed and won’t rub on the new tattoo.
Plan Your Day
Make sure you have enough time and aren’t rushed. Larger pieces can take hours.Bring Entertainment
Bring music, podcasts, or something to keep you relaxed during longer sessions.- Ask Questions
If you’re unsure about the design, placement, or any part of the process, don’t be afraid to ask. We’re happy to make changes or adjustments.
Caring for your tattoo
Keep film on for 2–4 hours (or as advised by your artist).
- Wash hands before touching your tattoo.
- Gently wash with lukewarm water & unscented soap.
- Pat dry with clean paper towel – Do not rub!
- Apply a thin layer of moisturiser.
- Light scabbing peeling, & itching is normal.Don’t pick or scratch!
- Wear loose, clean clothing.
- Avoid swimming, baths, hot tubs & saunas.
- Don’t picking scabs or peel skin.
- Avoid direct sunlight & sunbeds.
- Avoid heavy sweating or friction.
- Tattoos typically heal in 2–4 weeks.
- Once healed, apply SPF 30+ to protect your tattoo and keep it looking fresh.
- If you notice any signs of infection, such as redness, warmth, swelling or discharge that worsens, seek medical advice.
